Who I Am

Acting

As an actor, I work on stage, screen and in voiceover. I have performed at Northlight Theatre, Actors Theatre of Louisville, Windy City Playhouse, Signal Ensemble, Next Theatre, Gowanus Arts + Production and Juilliard Drama. On-camera credits include NBC’S Chicago PD.

Playwriting

My full-length plays include The Snare (Jackalope Theatre Company), Thing 100 (Eugene O’Neill Finalist, NHSI Theatre Institute), We the W(h)ee, Welcome to the Laborhood (Northlight Theater Education) and Out of Mizpah (in development). I am the book-writer for a new musical, Mill Girls. My work has been developed with Jackalope Theatre, Provision Theatre, 20% Theatre Company, The Music Theatre Company, and American Theatre Company.

In collaboration with my sister, Johanna, I co-created and co-produced We the W(h)ee, a traveling play in miniature. We have performed in living rooms, schools, children’s homes and hospitals in tours across eight states.

 Creative Content

I have also written for organizations such as Compassion International, Soul City Church, Supply Hope, Chaloner Associates, North Point Church, India Rural Evangelical Fellowship and Pacific Garden Mission. I write blogs, speeches, grants, curriculum, drama scripts and spoken word pieces.

Teaching

For six summers, I taught voice, movement, playwriting and performance theory at the National High School Institute “Cherubs” program for Theatre Arts.  I was an artist-in-residence at Highland Park High School and am currently the Co-Education Director at Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre.

I studied playwriting and performance at Northwestern University with a minor in non-fiction creative writing. I also trained as an Acting Apprentice for one year at the Actors Theatre of Louisville.
